TRUSTED AGENT PASSPORT

A verifiable trust credential for enterprise AI agents.

The Trusted Agent Passport proves what an agent is certified to do, whether it is actively monitored, what policy version it was tested against, and whether its credential is active, suspended, revoked, expired, or under review.

It is generated and managed by AI Agent Certify for enterprise-controlled environments. It is not claimed as a universal industry standard.

PASSPORT CONTENTS

What the passport contains.

A Trusted Agent Passport exposes the trust fields enterprise systems need before allowing an agent to act, integrate, or communicate across environments.

Certified scope

Defines what the agent is approved to do, including role, workflow, and allowed operating boundaries.

Certification score

Shows the current behavioral score and risk posture from policy-grounded evaluation results.

Policy version

Links the credential to the exact policy, data-boundary, and tool-permission requirements tested.

Runtime state

Exposes whether monitoring is live, drift is present, and the credential is active, under review, suspended, revoked, or expired.

VERIFICATION

How verification works.

Internal applications, partner systems, procurement reviewers, and governance workflows can check trust status before accepting an agent’s output or allowing a high-risk action.

  • Verify agent identity and owner.
  • Check certified scope and policy boundary.
  • Read monitoring, drift, and credential status.
  • Confirm revocation history before granting trust.

CREDENTIAL STATES

Active, suspended, revoked, expired, or under review.

Trust state changes when monitoring detects drift, when policies change, or when the agent needs re-certification after a material update.

Active

Agent is certified, monitored, and operating inside approved scope.

Under review

Runtime drift or a material change requires human review before trust is reaffirmed.

Suspended

Credential is temporarily paused because monitoring detected risky behavior or missing evidence.

Revoked

Credential is invalidated after critical policy, safety, or data-boundary failures.

Expired

Credential requires re-evaluation because the evaluation window or policy version is no longer current.

Private registry

Keep trust credentials inside an enterprise-controlled registry for internal systems, security teams, and governance workflows.

Public verification

Expose selected verification fields to partners or customers when a controlled external trust check is needed.

Identity is not enough

Agent identity can show who an agent is. Behavioral certification proves what the agent is allowed to do and whether it still behaves within that scope.
